Each European Union member state is required to develop a plan for implementing the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum. The Migration Strategy of Poland for 2025-2030, adopted by the Council of Ministers, is an important reference to this plan.

Although the Pact itself contains many controversial and problematic provisions, we are now at a crucial moment when we have the opportunity to adapt it to the specifics of the national system, so as to avoid human rights violations.

Therefore, as social organizations providing legal, integration and humanitarian assistance to migrants, we have prepared recommendations whose implementation can effectively secure the rights of these people in Poland.

Our perspective can help create more effective, humane and sustainable solutions that better address the specific needs of migrants, while complying with international standards and human rights.

These recommendations do not exhaust the broad topic of implementation of the Covenant. They cannot substitute for the inclusion of experts from social organizations in the process or formal public consultations.

The recommendations were prepared by:

Migration Consortium,

Amnesty International Poland,

Halina Nieć Legal Aid Center,

Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights,

Association for Legal Intervention,

Jesuit Refugee Service Poland Foundation,

Ocalenie Foundation,

Polish Migration Forum Foundation,

Polish Humanitarian Action,

Save the Children Poland.
