Migrant Info Point is a place that was established in autumn 2013 with foreigners living in Poznan in mind.
What do we do at MIP?
We wanted people coming to our city who don’t speak the language, don’t understand many of the procedures, but who want to live here and have a lot of things to do – to be able to find out how and where to do it.
MIP is a place where you can get information and support related to legalization of residence, work and everyday life issues. We tell you how to fill out forms, translate and explain the intricacies of Polish law. We help foreigners and people who care about a foreigner’s stay in Poland. We constantly try to expand our offer – we offer workshops, language courses, training courses, integration meetings. We have people working here who have experience, knowledge in matters related to functioning in Poland – office staff, lawyers, counselors and lecturers. At MIP we speak four languages: Polish, Russian, Ukrainian and English.
Initially, MIP was just a project that was supposed to end after 2 years. However, seeing the interest, we decided to do our best to continue the activities. We established the Migration Research Center Foundation, which raises funds for the operation of MIP. As a result, the activities for which we received funding are free of charge.
