Lipowa 14/17

We launched our operations on December 10, 2021, in Białystok in response to the humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. Since then, we have continuously provided essential humanitarian aid, first aid, and legal, psychological, and material support to people on the border. We monitor human rights, provide information on the situation at the border, and educate on migration and refugees. We also support migrants and refugees in their integration and adaptation to life in Poland.

We are convinced that every person deserves help, support, and respect, regardless of the reasons for migration. We do not consent to violence, discrimination, and marginalization. Egala means equal in Esperanto. The creator of this language, Ludwik Zamenhof, was born in Podlasie. Esperanto was intended to unite people of different cultures and nationalities. As the Egala Association, we also aim to create a safe and welcoming space for all.

We are part of the Granica Group. We collaborate with local and international organizations. We meet professional standards for humanitarian aid and actively participate in developing these standards in the region. We ensure the safety of our employees, volunteers, and the people we help.
